A naturally leavened Italian Christmas cake which creates a beautiful centrepiece for festive gatherings and a treat for welcoming guests. It has a light and airy texture favoured with vanilla and studded with sultanas and candied Sicilian orange peel.

 

We particularly enjoy it served warmed for breakfast.
